Another good week at work! I have loved going to different schools in the area administering tests. The kids are so cute! Being around children gives me such a boost!
HCG report: dropped from 88 down to 21 yesterday. So it's still falling which is great. I'm, again, hoping for zero at next Friday's blood draw!
IVF update: We were waiting to get a consultation appointment with Dr. Peterson with the U of U. We got a call to meet with him Feb. 3rd, but I was working and Rod didn't have enough notice to get time off. We were mainly looking at the U, instead of going through Dr. Heiner again, because of the possibility for financial assistance. One person in particular (Mandy), however, applied for the Miracle Fund and has had to wait 8 months and they messed up on her application, which leaves her nowhere. Since there is no guarantee of getting financial assistance anyway, we don't feel strongly about pursuing it just for that.
Seattle update: Seattle update you ask??? Yes, we are trying to find jobs and move to Seattle. I really want/need a change and really miss my family and want to live closer to them again. I moved to Utah from Seattle in June of 2003, so I've been gone - going on 6 years. I'd like to go back and just enjoy time with them again. It's time for that change. We've been applying for jobs in order to get there, so if anyone knows anyone who knows anyone, let us know! :) This economy/unemployment rate may be the difficult part, but we're trying anyway!
P.S. Sad about Michael Phelps. He disappointed so many people by doing something so stupid. I think of his cute mom cheering him on through the Olympics. How humiliated she must be and so disappointed.
P.P.S. After posting, I read Mandy's blog and she said she just found out they got funding for 1 IVF cycle through the U of U. How amazing is that?! After over 8 months of waiting they finally got good news! Did I speak too soon about giving up on the U of U??

Glad things are going well at work and that your numbers are going down, down, down!
Yes, Seattle would be nice! 6 years is a long time to be in one place away from your family! Good luck with that and with the U!
lots of good news all around! i'm really glad you are liking your new job. that's cool that you can go from school to school, and not have to be stuck in the same place everyday. i would love a change of scenery every now and then.
i didn't realize you were going on the big 6 years of living in utah. i'm at my almost 6 year mark in Huntington Beach. it's hard to believe i've been here that long. crazy how fast time goes. good luck with the seattle job hunt!
Please please please move to Seattle...
What kind of testing are you doing? I am wondering because my kids always have people coming to test them for different programs.
Prayers for 0 hcg levels!
