24th of July

The 24th of July is a big pioneer celebration in Utah. We got together with family to celebrate pioneer day and Walt's birthday that is on the 26th.

After dinner we lit off fireworks.

In typical fireworks fashion we all had to cover our ears.
Those whistling ones are a killer!
At least the smoke bombs don't screech. Chiele enjoyed running through the colored smoke.

We also had some great sparkling, popping cones but I have video of those I won't bore you with.
It was a fun night!

looks like great fun! Pioneer day came and went without notice here. Too bad too, I miss all the celebrations!

We entertained the notion of going to SLC last weekend for the 24th. Maybe next year.
