I was never an apricot person as a kid but now I'm loving apricot nectar. Rod's parents have an apricot tree in their backyard and his mom canned apricot nectar. It is soooo delish in smoothies. This morning for breakfast I tried this concoction and it was soooo good.
1 c. apricot nectar
~ 2 Tbsp sugar
~ 2 Tbsp powdered milk
dash of vanilla
about 6 ice cubesBlend.
(~ are approximate - I just kind of threw them in)
Mmmmmmmm.

Thank you for sharing the recipe! My neighbor has an apricot tree, so I'll be canning some soon...
have i ever told you about my weirdo (california/dad's side) family? all growing up we would get HUGE bags of dried apricot slices. they dried them on the roof top, bird poop at all.
we just stored them in a bottom drawer in our kitchen. there was always a surplus b/c we were so scared of those things. the only time we'd eat them is when we were starving and there wasn't nothing else to eat in the entire kitchen. literally.
its funny how something like that can scare you for life. and because of that i have NEVER in my life eaten an apricot. hahahaha
p.s. the second me and jeremy walked out of the temple on our wedding day, my grandpa bombarded me to give me a HUGE bag of home made dried raisins. thanks grandpa! i really want to carry these around on my wedding day. i found the closest garbage can and did my biznasss.!!!
I prefer to mix it with sprite of 7up or coco rico. yum.
