Frosted window panes

Just in time for Thanksgiving.

It's not that often that we get snow in Seattle, but when we do it causes quite a stir.

Schools are cancelled, the airport shuts down, people drive crazy, and even abandon their cars...

But as for me? I got an unexpected 3 days off before Thanksgiving. No, I won't complain.

I've had a trip to the hair salon, done some cleaning, sewing, shopping, and tomorrow I will be baking for our Thanksgiving feast and watching Eat, Pray, Love.

Here's a peek at the shirts I've refashioned the past couple days...

The plain black long sleeved shirt before ...

The after - with a little dazzle

I used two more pieces from my black sequin scarf (previously used for another t-shirt refashion). I love how it turned out.

Next a plain jane white long sleeved shirt

To a white shirt with creamy ruffles
It gave it just what it needed.

My last project was adding a panel to a black "under" shirt that's too small. It shrunk and was way too uncomfortable even to wear under things.

So I cut up another black t-shirt
sliced open the undershirt
and added two side panels

It worked perfectly. And it doesn't matter that the blacks are slightly off because it's never worn on the outside.

It works for me!

I am so impressed by your new creations! You are one patient lady with the sequins- I love how I turned out. And the black sides shirt is brilliant- I need to do something like thAt with all the shirts that don't fit me anymore.
I can't wait for tomorrow sooo bad ( for many reasons!! Stories on that later!) hahaha
