Yesterday I had such a fun day with my mom shopping in Seattle. I love going downtown during the holidays. It really wasn't that busy, so we enjoyed a Starbucks hot chocolate and hustled through some of our favorite stores before I had to head off to work.
I realized yesterday that Christmas is only 2 weeks away and I still hadn't posted about Thanksgiving...so here's a little rundown of our Thanksgiving weekend, before the next holiday is upon us.
We all gathered at Hancock's where Natalie had prepared a fresh turkey, deliciously cooked to perfection.
The pies included pumpkin and pecan from my mom and I made sour cream lemon. They were all incredible (if I do say so myself).
All the food was incredible, from the homemade rolls, stuffing and potatoes, to the pies, yum yum cookies and pink salad (again, if I do say so myself haha). Thank you to all for the wonderful food and fun.
Later that weekend we all headed up to the ranch to enjoy some fun in the snow.
We got there safely, after Rod and I had a little black ice spin out on the freeway. Lets just say I could have done without spinning sideways and backwards, ending up facing on-coming traffic. I thought we were headed down the embankment, and my last thoughts were "how much is this going to hurt?" Luckily we didn't flip or hit anyone. We were very thankful to be safe.

A little plowing
And a few walks to the pond (now mostly frozen over)
Lots of fun snowmobiling
A little snow ball throwing (put your 3-D glasses on - yes, it was coming right toward me)
And a lot of sledding (love the over-sized goggles)
* Natalie and I courageously went sledding behind Dave on the snowmobile. We laughed and screamed the whole time. Nicole has some pictures that I'll have to post once I get them. It was pretty hysterical.
A little R&R by the fire
and watching the snow fall from the rooftop
We appreciate Jeremy and Emily letting us come up and invade their space for a few days
Pearce is just precious!
For lunch, we ventured into town to pick up some fresh ground steak for hamburgers, from our favorite local butcher.
These fresh steak burgers were incredibly delicious, thanks to dad, the best bbq'er in town.
Now don't let these photos fool you. The sun isn't going down, it's actually coming up. I know, shocking, I was actually up in time to see the sun rise. :) It was so pretty with the sun bouncing off the snow and ice that I had to go out in my jammies and take some shots.
