Cars and phones

I really need to work on my Primary lesson...so I think I'll blog.

Today was exhausting. Can I just say how much I HATE car shopping!!!!

A couple weeks ago while Rod was replacing the brake pads on the Jetta, Jeremy found a major problem. To our dismay, it looks like water is getting into the oil, which is getting into the engine. Not good.

The conclusion? Pretty much get a new car ASAP before the engine locks up and we're left on the road somewhere.

Buying a new car at the moment? Not really in the plans.

So we've been scouring the ads for cars and went and looked at some today. And although I do have a headache, we don't have a new car. It's physically painful to drive on the lot and see the vultures swarm. Ugh.

Car shopping to be continued. Next we'll be looking at a Mazda3 (2007-2009). I think they're cute. They seem to be a good combo of economical and sporty. We'll just have to see how they drive.

On a happier note, we finally came out of the dark ages and got new cell phones today AND added texting back to our plan (I know we sound like old people). My phone broke at school about a month ago when one of the kids ran across my jacket in the gym. It held on for as long as it could and finally broke apart yesterday.

Since we'd already passed our 2 year agreement, we got a free phone and since I work for a school district, we get a discount on our plan. So with our extra savings, we added texting back to our plan so we don't miss out on all the incredibly important texts like who we think the bachelor will vote off.

Good luck with the car shopping ~ I hate the lots, too. I like KSL.com, is there anything like that in your area?

Great deal on the phone! If you have unlimited texting, feel free to text me anytime!

welcome to the age of texting (FYI you can make blog post via text limited to 160 characters in text, an image and text, or a video and text for all those short updates on the go)

PS, are you still with the same carrier?
