Here it is!

We are happy to announce that we made it home today with our new 2009 Toyota Yaris! We love it!

We left early Friday morning and after a long day of driving, test driving, paperwork, and sales pitches, we finally drove off the lot. Unfortunately, since they offered us a JOKE of a trade-in price for the Jetta ($250.00 - no I'm not kidding) we ended up having to bring both cars back. Boo!

And since the roads were still snowy and soon-to-be icy for our drive back (since we left the dealership so late), we ended up having to stay over night in Portland to be on the safe side, even though we hadn't planned on it.

And I have to say, I was only a little high maintenance without any of my belongings. We found the nearest Target and bought a few necessities, but I kept it simple. I always thought it might be fun just to take off for an impromptu vacation and buy whatever we needed once we got there, but it's not as glamorous as it sounds. Although it was kind of fun to try it at least once.

Anywho, here are some more pictures of our new little Yaris.

They didn't get a good picture of our dash, so Rod found this one off their website that looks exactly like ours. The speedometer is placed in the center of the dash, instead of directly behind the steering wheel. It will take some getting used to, but isn't bad.

Rod let me drive it the whole way back. It even still has a new car smell. And even if it's fake and just playing with my mind, I had to keep sniffing as I drove. And I loved every minute of it.
