While I was in Seattle, I found 3 cute skirts. Amazing. And it didn't take hours. I'd been looking for skirts for sooooo long.
We didn't have time to continue our shopping spree, so I brought the skirts back home with me sure that I'd find tops to match. One skirt in particular was my favorite, so that was my major focus for top finding.
Back at home...after MANY stores and MANY dressing rooms, and mashing my hair with each "try on", I found a very cute sweater and shirt to match my favorite skirt.
And here is where my story goes awry.
I had the skirt from Seattle.
I FINALLY found a sweater/top to match.
The day arrives when I put the masterpiece together (yes, I should have done this prior to the day I was wearing it). I put the outfit on and I decided I either looked like Alice in Wonderland or Little-Bo-Peep. Not kidding. The skirt flaired MUCH more than it had in the store...I think the mirrors in the store are fake.
Anywho, another Sunday with the same old revolving outfit. Blah.
Okay, so I have to take the skirt back, but I now have a really cute top...MORE shopping...LOTS of stores...LOTS of clothes...LOTS of dressing rooms...look fat, leave shopping for another day.
In the end...
- Finally found a skirt, not as cute as original, but it will do.
- Hope it looks good with new sweater/top (still haven't tried it on together; terrified of bo-peep incident)
- Even found another top for one of the other skirts. Amazing.
- Realized yesterday I need a tank sweater to go under the new sweater, that interestingly enough I had tried on 2ce a few weeks ago as I was looking for the first sweater/top to go with little-bo-peep skirt! AAHH!!
Oh. my. gosh. All for the love of an outfit to wear to church that doesn't look like I'm back in 1980. One of these days I'll actually post a picture if I can get up the nerve to try it all on together...before the day I'm supposed to wear it.

you are awesome!!
i know your pain, i never try anything on in the store and ALWAYS end up with something ridiculous in the end. good luck!!!!
I don't love shopping either. We should have been friends in High School. What happened to the good old days of taking the bus to Bell Square and just hanging out (and almost getting beat up). Uh.....Ricky?
I don't enjoy shopping, let alone clothes shopping! You always have great taste in clothes...still hoping (praying) for the day that we can wear nice dressy pants to church!
sounds like you need a personal shopper i'm for hire.
