The garage sale is over. Hallelujah!We had a rocky morning (alarm was set for 6am but the volume was all the way down)...I woke up at 7:20am and still had a ton to do before 8am. AAAHHHH!
Luckily the people upstairs helped us truck everything out to the driveway. Thank goodness for them!
We sold a lot of our things. Hooray! And by the end we were just giving things away for free as we were loading up for D.I. It feels so good to have it over!!
Afterward, hot (in the 90's today) and exhausted, we counted our money and went to JCW's for lunch - juicy bacon burger, fries and a hot fudge/marshmallow shake. Mmmmmm. So good.Tonight we're just going to relax. I think I'll even paint my toe nails. I think I deserve it. :)
Job update: I got the p/t job with the Issaquah after school program. Woohoo! There are a few catches, but I think they'll play out okay.
1st - they hire, to start, on a temporary basis only. Once I've started working, then they'll do a panel interview and at that time choose whether to give me a contract (lets be honest, they'd be fools not to :) ) the position comes with full benefits.
2nd - I have to get a WA drivers license before I can start. That comes with its own set of complications. Since I won't have a residence yet, one of my parents will have to come to the DMV with me and sign an affidavit that we're living with them. And hopefully that will be enough. Yes, I'm 5.
3rd - I have to leave a week early (next Thur. 8/27) in order to get my license, meet with HR and be there to attend an orientation 9/1...and then start work 9/2.
I'm excited! I hate to leave Rod a week early, but will try to have most things ready for him to leave the next week.
It's all coming together!

The glitches are minor speed bumps and I'm sure things will go along smoothly...good thing your folks live in WA~

Congrats! I have recently decided that my favorite shake at JCW's is Snickers with Cookie Dough! It has a nice chewiness to it thanks to the Snickers, but soft yumminess from the cookie dough. You might want to try it before you head out of town. :)
