Can I be jealous for a moment?

I watched Stephanie Meyer (author of Twilight series) on Oprah yesterday.

Dang, to have written Twilight and now be a super star with millions of dollars....

I think the awe factor for me is that a few years ago she was just an ordinary person like you and me. And now she's a superstar with 50 million dollars.

I must say, however, that her personality was a little flat when I watched her interview, but I'm still a bit envious of this amazing turn in her life.

On a more ordinary note, a.k.a. my life, I attended a CPR/1st Aid class today for work. Although it started way too early for a Saturday and took up most of the day, it was pretty good. I had a fabulous instructor who is a practicing EMT/hospital nurse. I have a lot of respect for nurses and other professionals who save lives every day. Although I hope I never have to use what I learned today, I'm glad I know what to do and would recommend her class any day.

Sure, we can be jealous....although I don't think I would want to be on the Oprah show. I would be too nervous~ I guess the key is to do what you love and love what you do Ü Always learn something new, like CPR. If you learn something everyday, then you've lived a full life~

I dislike twilight because of what it really is, Roger Ebert said it best http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081119/REVIEWS/811199997

Which also puts a distaste in my mouth for Stephanie Myers.

Still a little jealous, but who isn't jealous of any type of success these days.

Even Poor Octo-mom is going to be off welfare and rich thanks to a reality tv deal.
