Re-connected

We finally got basic cable today so we can watch regular channels. It turns out there is a bare bones package with local channels that is only about $15/mo. No more back-to-back reruns of Ghost Whisperer every night on the only English speaking channel available with rabbit ears.

...and Rod set up our DVD player to record Oprah for me. Wow. I feel like I've hit the jackpot. I've missed watching this season. Hopefully there will be a lot of reruns.

I'm finally reconnected to the world!

I know, it sounds a little pathetic. The pioneers lived just fine without tv and internet.

I totally know what you mean, we didn't have TV for the first month we were out here and I went crazy! Isn't it weird that we have to pay for even the basic channels?!?

i hear you! and i think it is so hilarious that you tried to make a get-away when you spotted someone you knew from high school -- totally would have done the same thing!

back-to-back reruns of Ghost Whisperer every night is all that's worth watching right now and we get all the local channels with our reception....unless it's Monday and big bang theory is on or what ever day mentalist is on.... back-to-back reruns of Ghost Whisperer every night is where it's at (not that I'm a fan, it's just what's worth watching)
