Cereal dust and other important stuff

That's what we've got left. The stuff at the bottom of a bag of cereal that tries to act like it's edible but it's not. I won't let it get in my bowl. I use a strainer. Of course I do. Because if I don't, it will get all over my mouth and float all up in my milk and pollute my perfectly good bowl of cereal. Yes, I hate cereal dust. Conclusion: I need to go grocery shopping.

Anywho, enough of my morning's cereal complaints.

We attended our ward Christmas party on Saturday night. The decorations were really nice and the crockpotted veggies and roast turned out great. That's what they did for the main course - several of us crocked roasts, chickens, pork roasts, potatoes and carrots. It worked out well - it was easy enough to do and tasted good.

It's always awkward attending a party at a new ward. We walked in and looked around the room trying to figure out where to sit. Let's see...who do we know? Oh yah, no one. So I picked a spot hoping to meet a few couples we might have something in common with.

Unfortunately, with my fine tuning skills, we managed to sit across from a newly engaged couple who graduated in 2005. Hm. Let's see...that makes me...100 years older than you. ha! It turned out okay though. Although it was a bit awkward at times, we're that much closer to knowing people in our ward.

I have errands to run before work...(and cereal to buy, no doubt) but I don't want to do any of them. My neck is killing me. I pulled something or slept on it skideewampus. Moving my head is torture. Drying my hair was enough to kill me. Imagine changing lanes...hmmm...I hope no one's over there because I can't turn my head to look. I just popped a few ibuprofen. Hopefully that will do something.

Here's to the last official week of school! I'll only be working two long days next week to cover the winter break (I asked for more shifts but they couldn't give me more hours) so I will be off until school starts again in January. Who needs a pay check when you can party it up with your family?! ha!

Cereal dust...you are hilarious! You are right, it is NOT edible, and makes a paste in your mouth.

Hey, I'm giving away some holiday plates and free crescent rolls (so you can make some more of the yummy chocolate crescents) hop on over to my blog and enter...I would love it if you win!

At least you got the young couple where you'd moderately have something in common with. I always end up at the table with the grandma's and get to listen to them tell me how much I remind them of their grand daughters and how much of a "youngin" I still am......

cereal dust and I are enemies as well. You use a strainer...nope, I see dust and in the trash it goes. we are not tight, cereal dust and I.
