The year of the sewing machine

I decided this needed its own post, instead of clumping it together with the Christmas one.

I've been wanting a sewing machine for a long time.

Well, I guess I dropped enough hints because to my surprise and delight, Rod bought me a sewing machine for Christmas!! I'm "sew" excited (haha) to make some of the projects that have been flittering around in my head!

On the list:
Shirt (with some sort of ruffly something on it)
Apron
Pillow
Towel (Anthropologie style - like this one)
I guess it's the year of trying lots of new things!!

P.S. I bought a sweater Saturday and was all excited to wear it to church. I put it on Sunday morning and realized one arm was longer than the other. What? I guess I was on crack when I tried it on in the dressing room. Hopefully my shirts will turn out better than that. :)

One sleeve longer than the other? Yikes! Of course, the towel has a cupcake on it! You will love sewing. I look forward to seeing some of your projects~

how fun! scott got me a sewing machine for my birthday a few years ago and it is literally one of my favorite gifts he's ever given (that and my kitchen aid mixer).

how fun to have sewing projects on the horizon. have you ever made quilts?
