Okay, don't laugh. I've sewn another ruffled pillow...and there's another on the way.
I can't get enough.
Rod said he is being invaded by ruffles...and I have to admit that it's true.
I needed pillows for our two front room chairs and because I liked the one I made for the bedroom so much, I had to bring ruffles to the front room. Sorry Rod.
But even better - I made the cover removable this time. Oh yes I did!
I'd been afraid to make a removable cover, thinking it would be too complicated, but thanks to a tutorial on Sparkle Power it was easy enough even for me!
Also since I was making the cover removable/washable, I needed to cut the ruffle strips with a pinking blade (50% off at JoAnn's),
otherwise it would fray like crazy when washed...and although the strips now have the zig-zaggy pinking blade effect along the edges instead of being straight, I still like the way it turned out.

Invasion of the ruffel pillows....it's like invasion of the body snatchers but with ruffel pillows. I'm not a ruffels fan unless it's a potato chip ;-)
I'm glad Maren isn't into ruffels; I don't know if I could handel it the way Rod is. If I had to have all those ruffels I would have had to demand the flame bath tub curtain
I love the removable/washable idea!
great idea! you could open an etsy shop and start selling these! you are so talented!!
Wow! You are so good! I LOVE ruffles, look at you go!
you can never have enough ruffles!!
I totally like the removable idea... But i think Walt is right Rod should get the flame bath room curtains, and maybe a toilet seat cover too ;D
