Jake's football game
We all met a few Saturday's ago at Roberto's (Italian) on Mercer Island (yum) and then went to Jake's football game. He was playing the M.I. team so it was fun to be back on the bleachers of my old HS field.
Paddle Boat
Rod and I decided to take our chances and go out on the pond. I was too afraid to take my camera with me on the water, but luckily there were no casualties. We made it safely around the pond and back to shore (minus a few mishaps with a large but friendly dragon fly - the boat wasn't big enough for the 3 of us).

Mom's Birthday
After my parent's got back from Disneyland, celebrating my mom's birthday, we had a little celebration of our own. Unfortunately, the Hancock's were sick so they couldn't make it.
Look at that beauty of a pie...lemon meringue. The birthday girl isn't generally supposed to make her own dessert, but she did and it was tart and delish. It makes me pucker just thinking about it.

Seriously, what is up with all the Fall birthdays in your family? It's like your mini-Christmas. Four of my little family members have October bdays. It's a good time of year.

jeremy was loving seeing the pictures of MI football field. you guys do so much fun stuff up there with the fam. if only we were a short drive away too... :)
