We found a place!

I have so much to catch up on (again) but instead of filling in all the back posts I wanted to share our great news.

We found an apartment in Redmond and will be moving in a couple of weeks. We are really excited!

We found a great deal:
  • price is right
  • top floor
  • 2 bedroom
  • secured building (enter on the inside like a hotel)
  • one month free if we stay a year
  • month to month lease
  • all appliances
Everything else we looked at was either way too expensive or in a scary area or didn't have a washer/dryer in the unit, was right next to the freeway or was on a 2nd or 1st floor...so many wrong ones until you find the right one. Yes, we've been apartment dating.

The interesting thing about our experience was that I was drawn to the building initially out of everything we saw. When we went to look at the unit that was advertised, I wasn't thrilled. It was on the first floor. So I randomly asked if any other units were going to be available soon. It just so happened he hadn't advertised the one we'll be living in. The tenants were still there and it would be open in a few weeks. Perfect spot in the building. Exactly what we needed. Same price as the bottom floor. Amazing. Another example of things falling into place for us!

FYI - Redmond is about 25 minutes from my parents (3 freeways away) and 30 minutes to my job (by scenic route - less traffic), and about 20 minutes to Seattle (2 freeways).

I am so happy you will be closer so I can see you more. Cle Elum is just a little too far for a "girls night". Let me know when you are settled and we will plan to get together.
