I've learned the value of...

The smell and feel of sheets kissed by the sun from a clothes line on a warm summer day.
While being at the ranch, I have loved washing sheets and hanging them out to
dry (when the weather was still warm). Today I took out a pair of sheets to replace the ones on our bed, with a set we had dried in the warm summer sun. Aaahhhhh, the fresh smell...and crisp feel. It reminds me of staying at my grandparent's house in Yakima where my grandma often hung sheets out to dry. There's nothing like it. Someday I will have a house with a clothesline.
Cleaning an 8 room, 3 bathroom home with mostly hardwood floors.
Wow. And I'm not done yet. I'm taking a little blog break since I know I won't have internet for a while...it's a beautiful country home. My mom used to clean it after we'd all be up here. I got up with the roosters to get it done before I have to leave for work and Rod and I have been working ever since. Three more rooms to go.
A helping hand
Extra hands always make things go faster and I'm grateful for Rod's helping hands to help me clean. AND for my parents, Rod's parents and other family members who have helped us so much since we've moved.

Thanks for the memory reminder....My mom always hung out sheets to dry. She had 3 lines: the sheets and towels always went on the 1st and 3rd line and the unmentionables went on the middle line... Ü
