In honor of good health, as well as being inspired by my sis-in-law Emily to take a little day adventure (as she has done before and taken great pictures), I headed out on Friday. It was so much fun just to explore and take pictures again. I haven't done that for a long time.
First stop - Lehi Roller Mills
It's a Utah classic. I figured I can't leave Utah without taking a few photos of this spot. If you look closely you may see Kevin Bacon.
Next stop - Utah Lake
I love the color of the milky green water (don't know what makes it milky green and maybe I don't want to know, but I like it). Being around water reminds me of being home. I love it there.
Last stop - The Avenues
I'm one who loves to visit my old stomping ground and reminisce. I lived in the Avenues in Salt Lake when I attended the U of Utah for a year. I loved the quaint feel of the neighborhoods and older beautiful homes. I used to walk from my apartment on "O" street up to the U, so I decided to take that same walk and take pictures along the way.
What I love about the Avenues...tree lined streets, beautiful older homes with architectural detail, quaint, cozy porches, old-fashioned iron fences and street lights, lots of greenery, flowers, and charm.

oooh! i loved this post! such a pretty neighborhood. that is my kind of day, just walking around lookin at purty houses.
i tried clicking on the salt lake pictures to see them bigger, but those were the only ones i couldn't see bigger. bummer. i loved those.
the next time i'm in utah, i HAVE TO go to lehi mills to get the waffle mix. i can't believe i never knew about that place while i lived there for 4 years. i really wanted to take a summer trip to utah, but i doubt it will happen. at this point i'm hoping for a fall trip.
