1st shot complete and I'm still alive!

Holy carumba! It's done and yes, my neck is still stiff but I'm alive. I think I was so nervous I tightened up my shoulders and now I need a massage or a neck brace.

Anyway...thanks to my sweet Rod it all went successfully. As I pinched a chunk of fat from my belly (I know the image is a beaut), swabbed it with rubbing alcohol, and held the needle in ready position...I suddenly couldn't do it. Whenever I get my blood drawn I don't look. I have to suck on mints and stare at the ceiling. Interesting that I thought I wanted to be in control of the shots. Um, no.

Anywho, Rod did a great job. I felt the needle go in but it wasn't too bad, didn't really feel the injection, and felt it more coming out. Now the feel is still kind of lingering where the needle went in and I keep looking at it to see if it's red or swollen. It's a teeny red and only as swollen as it was before (a.k.a fat chunk).

Brittany and Brandon were so sweet - they called me a few minutes ago to see how things went. It's a late hour in Kentucky and their call made my night to know they were thinking of me. Thanks guys!! :)

Anyway, first shot down, 3-1/2 weeks to go. We're on our way!

ughhhhh....shots! One down, more to go, huh? Brad HATES shots! He told me that when he was little, he would run around the room, hoping the dr. couldn't catch him!
