Guess who spent $1,500 on a shipment of drugs today? It's not every day you hear me say that. They will be arriving on Wednesday in time for the start of my injections. I'm excited they are on their way. Woohoo!
On a sour note - I got a call from the nurse who is in charge of all of this and she said they messed up on the blood tests I had a few weeks ago. The little 12-year-old intern got the wrong viles so I'm now missing two of the blood tests. I had a feeling when we walked in to get my blood work done that she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. After I told her it's really hard to draw blood from me, she had the more experienced nurse on duty draw my blood - hallelujah!
Anyway, when the more experienced nurse came to take over, she asked the intern if she had all the correct viles and little 12-year-old said she did...too bad she didn't and the real nurse didn't check her work.
My faith in this place is wavering. I expected so much more and when you're paying so much money and having to trust them with something so important...this kind of makes me not be able to breathe. Hopefully that's the only mistake.

Oh Shannon...I hope the blood tests don't set you back! If you have to do it again, they better not charge you! Remember your faith in the Lord and rely on it heavily...you will be amazed at the guidance and direction that you will receive!
i'm so freaked out about drawing blood, that if that 12 year old even came near me, i would tell her to take a hike and get a real nurse.
i'm sorry that happened.
but yippee for $1500 big ones on some good drugs!! hahaha
That stupid 12 year old!! Ah, I'm gonna poke her eyes out. It really bugs me when people don't know what they're doing, and they don't have the courtesy to admit it so that they can get the proper help they need to do it right. They are never the ones who pay for it in the end- it's the people like you. But yay for drugs!!!
