3rd time's a charm

Last night everything went very smoothly with the Lupron shot. Ice numbed me up, everything was grand. Thought we had a good thing going.

Tonight we hit another snag. Rod couldn't get the needle to poke through my skin 2 times (dang skin of steel!), until I finally told him just to stab it in there and he got it on the 3rd try. Big ouch and a little blood. Unfortunately, I hadn't done my job very well as the icer...I could feel it all three times. Better luck tomorrow. I tell you, by the end of this we'll be pro's!

...ON TO MUCH MORE EXCITING NEWS...We heard from Rod's brother Walt today that he and Maren are having a baby boy. Very exciting news! We are so happy for them!

well if all goes well I guess you only have about 9 months of shots left.....so every shot is one less you'll need from here on out....
