1 vile Lupron
1 vile water (to mix in Bravelle)
1 vile Lo Dose HCG
2 needles plus 1 needle head we switched out to inject
An alcohol swab
And a trusty hazardous materials container of our very own (for the discarded needles)
I was really nervous because this injection had so much more medication in it. Although I iced pretty well, it still hurt big time and bled for a while afterward. It was a difficult one for Rod too. He felt really bad that in addition to the needle puncture, even the injection of the medication was painful...and pretty much it never seemed to end.
Anyway, it's totally do-able. All of this is, for the results in the end. No side-effects as of 45 minutes into the meds, so keep your fingers crossed there aren't any (other than the big old headache that's become my new best friend).
In honor of them (now watching in Kentucky), we continued our little ritual and I made some oatmeal heath-crunch cookies
and Rod and I watched 24. It was a really good preview. I hate that it won't be on again until Jan. 11th. Oh well, something to look forward to!

Shannon! You're one tough mama-to-be. I feel so special you continued the 24 tradition. It's going to be sad not watching it with you two. It'll also be weird watching it and not being able to call anyone right away about it... or else we want to ruin any good surprises... Muah ha ha ha haaaa!
Ughh...six vials of vile stuff! Brittany's right, you are one tough lady! I feel badly for Rod, too. But hey...it's gonna be totally worth it! Oh..and you made COOKIES!?! Alright! And they don't look flat! Good job!
