I made it!

Today's surgery was a success! They retrieved 10 eggs that are now living in a petri dish. I will find out tomorrow how many actually fertilized and have started dividing.

They'll watch the division over the next 3 days and decide whether to transfer the embryo's on day 3 or 5 of division. The doctor said if the embryo's make it until day 5 they are much stronger, but day 3 is still okay. It really will all just depend on quality.

I feel really good. It was really hard to wake up from the anesthesia so I was still pretty groggy when I got home. I went straight to bed and felt so much better when I woke up.

My friend just brought over some homemade soup, caesar salad and bread. It was sooo good and exactly what I needed. After not eating all day, it was the perfect comfort food that totally hit the spot.

Rod had to go to class tonight but he'll be home by 8pm. He doesn't have to work tomorrow, so it will be nice just to relax and take it easy.

Thank you for all your prayers and love. I could really feel it and it helped give me peace today. I love you all!

I'll let you know what the doctor tells me tomorrow about our petri babies. :) The journey isn't over yet, but it's one giant step closer!

I'm SSSSOOOOO glad to hear that all went well. I kept looking at the clock this morning and I was thinking about you. When it struck 11 I told myself that you were going into your procedure! I can't wait to hear the results!
